Blogs I follow

When I started running I did not have many friends who ran. Reading the stories of other runners on their blogs has often motivated me to put my running shoes on and get out there. Also reading about other runners up and downs of training has reminded me why I run and encouraged me to keep going when things get hard. I also love a nice race report! There are so many races I would like to do!!! The blogs below are some of my favorites:

Liz Goodchild
Liz's blog is one of my favorites. She doesn't post often but when she does it is absolutely beautiful. She writes so well and is not afraid to talk about her fears, doubts and insecurities. She seems to be able to put into words what I can only think. Highly recommended.

Lazy girl running
One of the first running blogs I started to read regularly. Very impressive how far Laura has come from only being able to run for a couple of minutes on the treadmill to now training for her first full iron man.

The sound of running
I love this blog. It seems to combine running and philosophy. Marcus writes about what he has learned from running and why he likes running so much. This blog is well written and will definitely make you think.

Medal Slut
This blog is one of my favorites. Her blog post are always funny and with plenty of photos. She is a crazy lady (crazy in the best possible way) who ran a marathon pulling a toy husky in a sled (with wheels) as she got annoyed at the 'Oh you ran a marathon? How heavy was your sled?' posts. I love her blog posts and can't wait to read about her adventures in the ultra marathon world.

Diaries of a marathon widow
Cat is a very fast lady how loves running marathons and ultra marathons at home and abroad. I love reading her race reports and would love to do races abroad as often as she does. She seems like a really nice lady too.

Run my own way
A mum of two boys Kathleen does not just write about running but also other subject areas. She has a strong opinion and loves a little rant (but who doesn't). She is also not afraid to write about things going wrong which makes it easy to relate to her.
